Arsenal captain, Martin Odegaard, has admitted that he has not practiced as much football.
Odegaard also said that he has not been at his best, adding that he could have played better for his country Norway in their two UEFA Nations League group stage matches against Slovenia and Serbia this month.
The midfielder played in all seven of Arsenal’s matches this season prior to their Premier League outing against Brentford.
The former Real Madrid star did not make Arsenal’s matchday squad due to an injury in a game they won 3-0 away from home.
“That is not good to say. I have not practiced as much football as I usually do. But I don’t blame it. I could do better anyway,” Odegaard said via Dagbladet (h/t JustArsenal).
“In the same way as the team, I have not been at my best. It is a bit disappointing.”
