Former Chelsea defender, Marcel Desailly has heaped praises on Carney Chukwuemeka after the player’s display during the Bleus’ Premier League 3-1 defeat against West Ham United on Sunday.

Chelsea slumped to their first defeat of the ongoing new Premier League campaign at the London Stadium against West Ham.

The Blues dominated possession and played with an extra man for a quarter of the game, but failed to secure any points as Chukwuemeka’s goal was not enough for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Nayef Aguerd opened the scoring for the Hammers with a good header from a corner in the seventh minute before Chukwuemeka showcased his dancing boots and levelled things in the 28th minute.

However, two goals from Michail Antonio and Lucas Paqueta in the second half gave the hosts all three points against Chelsea.

Speaking on Premier League Productions, Desailly said he likes Chukwuemeka because the player is like an artist who comes onto the stage.

“I like Carney Chukwuemeka because he is like an artist who comes onto the stage. He has got the ball. Now is my moment.

“Shine. You see the dribbling. He is sure about what he is going to do and he is clinical. I love it,” he said.
