Former Liverpool star, Danny Murphy has revealed Manchester United forward, Marcus Rashford’s biggest problem amid his performances for the Red Devils this season.
Rashford is in his tenth season at Man United, with his form inconsistent at best.
He lost his place in the England team as he was not part of the Three Lions’ squad that reached the Euro 2024 finals in Germany.
Rashford’s best season to date came in 2022-2023 when he netted 30 goals in all competitions for Man United under former manager Erik ten Hag
But Murphy believes Rashford’s biggest problem is ‘perception’, adding that the attacker looks down on himself.
“He should be doing more for the talent he’s got,” Murphy told talkSPORT.
“I think we’ve already seen the best of Marcus Rashford but he’s capable of getting to that level again.
“If he was in a better team, a more successful team, under a more competent manager than some we’ve seen at United, we might have seen a different outcome.
“He has wonderful attributes but his biggest problem is his perception. He looks down on himself, slumped.”
