The former Niger Delta militant Asari Mujahid Dokubo has advised President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be wary in the arrest of the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Godwin Emefiele.
He said he said the opposition might be setting a trap for him.
He declatred in a video: “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I am advising you not to fall into the trap these people are setting for you through the arrest of Godwin Emefiele. I will not be in support of you tampering with the rule of law. Regarding Emefiele’s arrest, ensure all you do are in accordance with the rule of law because if you don’t, the traps they set for you will get you.”
Speaking further said, “Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu needs to know more about what the laws of the Central Bank of Nigeria says about the arrest, suspension or sack of their Governor. He needs to know these because of the traps of these people. They are people that are very close to you but they are after selfish interest.”
Lastly Dokubo added: “I can say I am the happiest man after Godwin Emefiele was suspended and arrested because he needs to experience the full dose of what he made people go through.”
