The Senate deputy minority leader, Emmanuel Bwacha, has expressed sadness over the recent upheaval that erupted between his supporters and that of Taraba State governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku.

The said crisis which occurred last week in Takum Local Government Council of the state, was said to have erupted following the defacing and destruction of the senator’s billboard, which was alleged to have been carried out by the supporters of the governor.

Piqued by the development, the lawmaker, who represents Taraba South, described the crisis as a “show of shame and failure of leadership.”

Speaking through his personal media aide, Disebe S. Bala, via a statement made available to Newspot on Wednesday, he admonished his constituents to desist from acts that can thwart the peace of the southern zone of the state and Taraba at large.

He also called on the various leaders at both local and state government levels not to cease from preaching peace, stating that ” We must realize that in a war of attrition, no one is a winner as we are all losers.”
