Ahead of this year’s Eid el-Kabir, the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on Muslims to embrace peace, unity, and tolerance.

On Tuesday, CAN President Archbishop Daniel Okoh, in his Sallah message, felicitated Nigerian Muslims.

According to Archbishop Okoh, Christians all over Nigeria commemorate the values of sacrifice, love, and obedience that Eid el-Kabir represents.

“We would like to use this opportunity to reiterate our commitment to promoting religious harmony and peaceful coexistence among all Nigerians. Nigeria is stronger when we all work together and respect each other’s faiths and beliefs,” he stated.

The federal government had declared Wednesday, June 28th, and Thursday, June 29th, 2023, public holidays to celebrate Eid el-Kabir.
