Displaying Russian Flags in Kano, an Act of Rebellion Says Primate Ndukuba

The leadership of the Church of Nigeria Anglican Communion Primate Henry Ndukuba has described the waving of Russian flags by protesters in Kano as an act of rebellion.

Visibility angry at what he described as despicable declared: ” We cannot  sell this nation to the Russians “.

While delivering his Primatial address at the 2024 All Anglican  Clergy Conference at CMS Grammar School in Lagos on Tuesday 6 August 2024  called on Nigerians to rise up and condemned those behind flying Russian flags in this country.

Primate Ndukuba said the protesters had every right to demonstrate their anger over hunger and hardship but called on the organisers for restraints while doing so.

He pleaded with them to exercise patience with the government as it had outlined ways  at assuaging their  current pains being experienced through the strangulating economic measures.

Primate Ndukuba appealed to members of the police and the army to be humane in handling  the protesters reminding them of  the EndSARS massacre two years ago.

He called on government to be disposed to dialogue as such would discourage the enemies of this country who ” are waiting for the protests to be hijacked by hoodlums” .

He commended the military for doing well in fighting terrorists, bandits and kidnappers.  However he warned them not to dabble into politics saying the “worst civilian government is better than military rule. ”

Primate Ndukuba  called on Nigerians to go on their kneels beg God to put an end to corruption  that keep impoverishing millions in the country.
