Delta Gov, Speaker congratulate Olu of Warri on 3rd anniversary

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori and Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Dennis Guwor have described Olu of Warri, His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III as “a man of peace, a bridge-builder and of profound integrity”.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Festus Ahon, in Asaba, the governor praised the monarch for ensuring peaceful co-existence in Warri Kingdom since he ascended the ancient throne.

He said his reign so far was already recording positive turnaround in the lives of his subjects and the kingdom.

Oborevwori stated that the Olu had played significant roles in the economic revival of the Kingdom in the last three years.

While he appealed for more patience and support from his subjects to ensure a greater Iwere nation.

“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I warmly congratulate His Majesty, the Olu of Warri, Atuwatse III, CFR, on the occasion of his 3rd coronation anniversary.

“I join the people of Itsekiri nation in honouring a great king and in wishing him strength, health and wisdom as he continues to carry out the duty of providing traditional and cultural leadership for his people.

The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, DSHA, Guwor who also extended warm felicitations to the monarch, said the anniversary marked a significant milestone in the reign of Ogiame Atuwatse III.

Guwor also felicitated the Itsekiri nation, particularly those from the Warri South West constituency, which he represents in the State Assembly, on the 3rd-anniversary celebration of their king.

The Speaker, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Nkem Nwaeke, expressed joy for being among those celebrating the achievement.

The Speaker acknowledged the immense progress and development the monarch has brought to the Warri kingdom and commended his efforts at promoting peace, unity and cultural heritage of the Itsekiri nation.
