Delta State Commissioner of Police, Muhammed Ali, has warned cultists and mischief makers to steer clear of the state just as he assured all Muslim faithful of the provision of adequate security and free flow of traffic across the State in view of the Eid-Kabir celebration slated for this Saturday to Sunday.
The police boss in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, copies of which were made available to journalists in Warri on Friday declared that the Command will deal decisively with anybody who is found wanting
According to the statement, the commissioner of police affirmed that the operatives being deployed across the state include special constabularies.
“They are to provide adequate security in all Muslim prayer grounds and strategic locations in the State”, he reiterated.
The CP also directed all Divisional Police Officers to intensify raids of criminal hideouts and black spots within their areas of responsibility.
He urged the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of operations, Area Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Tactical Operations Officers to employ means of ensuring thorough supervision of personnel deployed for the actualisation of peace and tranquility during and after the celebration.
The Commissioner of Police on behalf of officers and men of the Command wishes all Muslim faithful in the state a hitch-free, and a happy Eid-Kabir celebration.
