Dancing May Be Included In Olympic Games- Adegboye Onigbinde

Former Super Eagles Chief Coach, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde has disclosed that the art of Dancing may soon emerge as an Olympic Games competitive sport.

He stated that it was being presently considered at International Olympics Committee (IOC) because it was a performing arts form which if properly developed, managed and packaged could alleviate poverty from among the youths and attract young audience to the Games.

Five new sport were added to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. They include 3×3 basketball, surfing, skateboarding,karate and sportclimbing.

Chief Onigbinde made the disclosure last Friday after the delightful display of superb dancing skills by the Exquisite Dancers during the opening ceremony of IFA League 2021at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium (Liberty Stadium).

The former Super Eagles Coach who was the first Nigerian Coach to take the Super Eagles to a World Cup lauded Ibadan Football Association for providing the platform where the dancers could exhibit their talents.

The Octogenarian FIFA Instructor also promised to influence a platform for the Dancers to showcase their talents at National Sports Festivals and All Africa Games coming up two years time in Accra, Ghana.
