Roy Hodgson’s second spell in charge of Crystal Palace is set to come to an end and the club already have his replacement lined up.

Fans have been demanding big changes at Selhurst Park after a woeful run of form has left the Eagles battling to stay in the Premier League.

Palace have won just three of their last 19 games, form that leaves them 15th in the table and five points above the relegation zone, and that could be reduced to just two points if they lose at fellow strugglers Everton this Monday.

Much of their struggles have been blamed on Hodgson who returned to the club last season on an initial interim basis after Patrick Vieira was sacked.

The plan has always been to replace the former England and Liverpool manager in the summer, but chairman Steve Parish has been forced to reluctantly speed up these plans.

It remains to be seen if Hodgson will be in the dugout at Goodison Park, but multiple reports claim the 76-year-old’s time is up.

Furthermore, former Eintracht Frankfurt boss Oliver Glasner is the man most likely to takeover the reins in South London, and Palace have already made a formal approach to hire the Austrian.

Free agents Steve Cooper and Julien Lopetegui, as well as highly-rated Ipswich boss Kieran McKenna have been considered but none of them are keen on taking the job at this exact moment in time.

Glasner has been out of work since leaving Frankfurt last summer having won the Europa League with them in 2022, and is interested in taking over the Eagles.

The 49-year-old is well-regarded, having emerged as a target for both Chelsea and Tottenham before they hired Mauricio Pochettino and Ange Postecoglou.

He was also interviewed for the Palace job last year before they decided to give Hodgson a new 12-month contract.
