COVID-19: Nigeria’s Confirmed Cases Keep Rising Not Enough Testing–Lagos Doctor

COVID-19 REPORT. NIGERIA, Tuesday 01/07/20.

On the 1st of July 2020, 790 New CONFIRMED Cases were recorded in Nigeria.
13 deaths were recorded Nationwide.
The total number of Confirmed cases Nationwide is 26,484
Total Daily test is 4,205 samples.
Summary :
Total Confirmed is 26,484
Total Discharged is 10,152
Total Deaths is 603 in 35 States including FCT Abuja.
Cross River State has nil report of Covid-19 up to this day.
Nationwide, a total of 138,462 tests have been carried out in a country with an estimated population of about 200 Million as at 11.30pm of Wednesday, 01/07/20 as against 134,257 of the previous day Tuesday, 30/06/20
Data of New Cases :
The 790 New Cases are from 21 states out of 36 states and the FCT ABUJA.
Breakdown of the new cases shows the following :
Delta State now leads with 166 followed by Lagos with 120, Enugu 66, FCT 65, Edo 60
Bottom five shows :
Benue 6, Gombe 4, Yobe 2, Bauchi 2, Kebbi 2
The pie chart showing Total Confirmed cases overall is as follows :
Lagos 10,630 ; Abuja 1,933 ; Oyo 1,391; Kano 1,257. ; Edo 1,165
Bottom five are :
Benue 65, Yobe 61, Ekiti 43, Taraba 19, Kogi 4.
Not enough testing is being done nationwide and although 4,205 tests were done today, it remains the highest ever done but it is not enough.
Enforcement agents have started arresting people for non – compliance with the wear of Face masks.
