Professor Nimi Wariboko based in Boston has made a confession that explains why starting a Church or a Ministry has become the most lucrative and the most corrupt Business in Nigeria today.

I woke up this morning to watch a clip on YouTube moderated by the great Rudolf Okonkwo otherwise known as Dr. Damages whose pen name should really be “Dr. Repairs” given his preoccupation to foment a change and to make Nigeria a better place for generations yet unborn.

Since I am not able to cut and paste the video, I urge all of you reading this to go to the You Tube to watch the full video for yourself and for you to form your own opinion.

Professor Wariboko’s amazing Allocutus and powerful confession in the interview is a must watch for everybody

Professor Wariboko was the pioneer Pastor of the Brooklyn International Chapel of RCCG, my Church In New York.

I am not surprised at all about the Professor’s confessions and advice to all Nigerians.

The Professor was my Pastor and I knew him to be a radical of sorts and a straight arrow and an intellectual giant and researcher who would call a spade a spade and damn the consequence like I do because I am not just writing for today, I am writing for Posterity.

What is happening in most of the Nigerian Evangelical Churches and much room Churches springing up everywhere in the nook and corners not only in Nigeria but everywhere in the World minus some of the Communist countries are scary to put it mildly.

Our Church leaders are business men

They own everything in their Mega Churches and what they do in their Head Offices and Home Branches are multiplied all over the World by their Pastors in their Branches and they do not pay taxes.

I am not going to even attempt to summarize what the Professor has said in that powerful video.

You must go and watch the video by yourself and you will be glad you did.

I would have more to say about what the learned Professor has touched upon because it is the tip of the iceberg, if you can believe it.

We all can argue with some validity that Omoyele Sowore gave the World Dr. Damages and Adeola Fayeun of “Keep it real” fame and Humble Prince Olu Faloye to mention a few icons of the Sahara Social Media Company of New York where I once served as a volunteer myself because I believed in the young man’s mission statement and I was bored with retirement and staying home doing nothing or watching tv.

The people who lead those Churches in Nigeria see Church as their Business Enterprise. They don’t pay taxes. It doesn’t matter what they tell us. The social media has offered limitless opportunities to market their business and to reach millions on the press of a button without paying a Dime or a Kobo.

They are not accountable to anyone. They want to leave their mega Churches and their Ministries to their families and to their own children and they don’t have a succession plan as revealed by the Professor who is in a position to know as a very probing and inquisitive mind.

Those Churches leaders hate the concept of having a second-in- command just like our political leaders are now doing.

When you are elected Vice President or Deputy Governor in Nigeria it is not at all certain that you are ever going to be President or Governor even though the Constitution raised your hope to expect that but whatever happens your future is assured because you are going to live forever on tax payers sweat, win or lose.

If you don’t believe me, ask Yemi Osinbajo who was merely used and dumped by clueless and Caliphate Buhari who had his own personal agenda. That explains why many of our leaders could kill to remain in power.

The Church leaders are not running their Empire as Part of the Kingdom of God. They take it as their own personal Fiefdom. You have heard it from the horse’s mouth.

They promote themselves and that is why today Nigeria has the greatest number of General Overseers and Archbishops in the whole world.

You were a Pastor yesterday, a Bishop today, an Archbishop tomorrow and a Pope or an Ayatollah the day after.

In my own neck of the woods in Akure the Ondo State Capital,my people would say in our rich local dialect that Professor Wariboko “f’ori Oliu” with his powerful statement in that video you must go and watch for yourself.

What is happening in the Churches are as bad if not even worse than what is happening in the Public and Private Sectors of our Economy.

The country is totally forked up as confessed by the learned Prof.

I second his motion and I thank him with all my heart for speaking the truth to power.

I rest my case.
