As Christmas festivities draw nearer, Yobe State Police Command has advised parents and community leaders to caution their wards against engaging in violent and disruptive behaviors.

The Command gave the advice on Saturday in a statement issued through its Public Relations Officer, DSP Dungus Abdulkarim.

It said comprehensive security measures to ensure a secure and enjoyable festive season had been implemented, with the State Commissioner of Police, Garba Ahmed, reaffirming commitment of the Command to safeguarding residents and ensuring their safety throughout the festivities and beyond.

“Strategic deployments have been made to worship centers, recreational areas, and playgrounds to guarantee hitch-free celebrations.

“The command warns individuals with criminal intentions to desist, as adequate preparation to arrest and prosecute offenders is emplaced”, the command warned.
