Bode George, former deputy national chairman, PDP, has said on Arise News interview that he was miquoted by pool story that trended online and in print that he would not mind taking appointment in Tinubu’s administration.

Bode George frankly said he did not say it and he would never say it. He argued that he and Tinubu did not have the same political view and therefore they “we are not aligned politically.”

The media he affirmed twisted his view to satisfy their sponsors.

Butressing his rebuttal he asked: “General Yakubu Gowon was 31 when he became the head of state and Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was 39 when he became Nigeria’s head of state, I am now 80 and I will be looking for work at my age to do what?”

Bode George was responding to interview with Arise News during the Morning Show program when Dr. Reuben Abati said that not less than 7 newspapers reported the same thing that he is ready to work with Tinubu if he invited him, asking him whether he said it or not.

” It was the same distorted story shared to all media outlets.”

Also, Bode George said that what he said when they asked him what he will do if Tinubu calls him was that, he will pray for him and that will be after the election case at the court.
He said:

“I am 80 years now what type of work will I be looking for when there are young minds, young people?”

“General Gowon was 31 or 32 when he became the head of state, Baba Obasanjo was 39 when he became the head of state, me I’m close to 80 and I will be looking for work, to go and do what?
