As part of measures being put in place to ensure a seamless 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has conducted a training for its critical partners.

The trainees, who comprise nominees of relevant partnering organisations and staff of the Board, received requisite training on 9th December, 2024. They included the Chief External Examiners (CEE), Chief Technical Advisors (CTA), Computer Professionals of Nigeria (CPN), JAMB Technical Officers, State Coordinators and other critical stakeholders.

In his remarks, the Registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, thanked the critical stakeholders for their services at all times.

According to him, the purpose of the training was to update the participants on the modalities for the 2025 accreditation of centres exercise, particularly in terms of ensuring that new centres meet the required specifications.

The training, which was anchored by the IT Consultant, Mr. Damilola Bamiro, took the participants through the criteria and guidelines for  centre accreditation. He stated that the training was important in view of the new features of the test deployment mechanisms. In addition, he acquainted them with the procedures on how to fill online accreditation forms, which are cardinal to the success of the 2025 UTME.

He, therefore, stressed the need for all centres to conduct the scheduled autobot tests stating that any centre that does not receive the endorsement of the team of accessors would not be accredited and urged centres, which had  not conducted the test to do so without delay.

Earlier the Director of Test Administration, Mrs. Pius Ville, thanked the CEEs for their excellent performance in previous outings. She also thanked the other participants for their immense contributions to the success of the UTME over the years.
