The Brazilian made a slow start to life at Old Trafford following his £60m arrival from Real Madrid and he had to bide his time for his full Premier League debut.
But, once that came in a Man of the Match display against Everton at the start of the month, Casemiro was an ever-present for the remainder of the six fixtures in October.
United enjoyed an impressive month and recovered from a 6-3 defeat to rivals Manchester City by going unbeaten in the Premier League.
Casemiro scored his first goal for the club with a dramatic last minute equaliser in a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
And, despite stiff competition from Martinez, Rashford and Dalot, Casemiro won the fans’ vote with 34% of the votes.
Martinez was his nearest challenger on 31%, while Rashford and Dalot collected 19% and 16% respectively.
Speaking ahead of United’s must-win game against Real Sociedad, Erik ten Hag hailed Casemiro’s mentality and the way he’s settled into life at the club.
‘I call him the cement in the midfield,’ said Ten Hag.
‘I think in and out of possession he makes such a difference and he gives the team [an] extra edge and helps them dominate.
‘He can also read the game and he helps the players by pointing them into the right positions. He is anticipating both in and out of possession and also he sees the pass between the lines. He is a top player and I am really happy to have him here.’
