The Corporate Affairs Commission, CAC, has stated that the Kogi Central Political Frontier, the main group spearheading the recall of suspended Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, is not a registered entity.
In a letter obtained by The Sun on Thursday, CAC confirmed that the group does not exist in the commission’s records.
The letter, dated 27 March 2025, clarified that the commission does not register political bodies or pressure groups.
“Kindly be informed that the exact name ‘Kogi Central Political Frontier’ is not available on record as an entity registered with the commission.
“Furthermore, be guided that the commission does not register political bodies or pressure groups,” the letter stated.
The revelation raises concerns about the legitimacy of the recall campaign against Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan, who has faced intense political opposition since assuming office.
According to reports, the push for the lawmaker’s recall is being influenced by political figures who are not from the senatorial district.
Opposition figures have argued that the entire recall process is probably being orchestrated by shadowy figures with no legal standing.
