The people of Taraba State have been advised to disregard rumours that the All Progressives Congress, APC, is not fielding a candidate in the forthcoming governorship election.
APC governorship candidate, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha made the call on Wednesday in Zing and Yorro local government councils respectively while flagging off his campaign. He alleged that the governor of the state has been working round the clock to frustrate his political ambitions.
He said: “Do not allow anyone deceives you that APC has no governorship candidate in Taraba State. I am the legitimate governorship candidate of APC in our state.
“The party conducted fresh primaries and I emerged the winner. INEC and all other authorities are aware, and if it means going to court we have the capacity to do so.
Affirming that “it is time for the people of Taraba State to enjoy the dividends of democracy” he avowed that “it is only the APC that can make that happen. ”
Bwacha and the incumbent, Gov Darius Ishaku, who both hailed from the same zone of the state, have been at loggerheads, a situation that compelled Bwacha to dump the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for APC.
