Bukayo Saka has returned to Arsenal for treatment after being forced off for England against Greece.
The Gunners star suffered a suspected hamstring injury midway through the second-half at Wembley on Thursday night.
‘He’s being assessed,’ Carsley said in his post-match press conference. ‘In the build-up to the first goal you could see that he had felt something in his leg.’
Sky Sports News have now confirmed Saka has left the England camp to return to his club for further assessment and will have no role to play for the Three Lions on Sunday against Finland.
Saka has been in wonderful form this season with Arsenal a point off the top of the Premier League. But fans will now face an anxious wait to find out the severity of the issue.
Arsenal return to action against Bournemouth on Saturday 19 October.
