Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has begun the first round of his independent medicals.

This was as he expressed hope for the next round of medicals.

This was disclosed by his Special Counsel, Aloy Ejimakor, after his routine visit to Kanu at the facility of the Department of State Services, DSS.

Ejimakor said Kanu was upbeat despite his ongoing travails.

Over the past few months, Kanu’s lawyers have been agitating for independent medical attention for the IPOB.

At one point, Kanu’s legal team accused the DSS of preventing independent doctors from attending to the IPOB leader.

However, Ejimajor tweeted: “Update: I have concluded today’s visitation with Onyendu Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Despite all the travails, he remains upbeat and his best wishes for the faithful abide.”
