Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, has dismissed claims from some quarters that he faked his attack and raised a false alarm about it.
Ortom added that he has nothing to gain from raising a false alarm, saying that he does not pray his worst enemy passes through the trauma he went through on Saturday.
He made these known in an interview with State House correspondents shortly after he met President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Tuesday.
The governor insisted that he did not do anything wrong in enacting the anti-grazing law in the state, saying other states have also enacted the same law.
Ortom said Buhari had accepted some suggestions he made on the security situation in the state after he had ordered a thorough investigation into the attack.
The governor, however, expressing sadness about those who doubted the incident, reiterating that he was indeed attacked while on his way to his farm.
