Bella Hadid has shut down speculation she isn’t vaccinated aftet the supermodel made the surprising decision not to attend Monday’s Met Gala.

The 24-year-old took to Instagram on Wednesday to confirm she has taken steps to protect herself from coronavirus as she assured critics that she’s had the Covid-19 jab.

Considering the fact the model has been a staple at the coverted fashion event in recent years, fans couldn’t help but question why the star did not make an appearance in New York at the start of the week.

Following the headline-making revelation rapper Nicki Minaj made about choosing to skip the event because she didn’t want to get the Covid vaccine, many wondered if Bella had also made the same decision.

Posting to Instagram Story, Bella dismissed the rumors as she shared a picture of herself in a doctor’s office while getting the jab.

‘For anyone concerned,’ she wrote across an image that appeared to be from August 6, last month, as vaccinations weren’t available last summer.

One reason why fans had begun to doubt if the model had chosen to get the vaccine was down to the fact her younger brother publicly revealed he refused to take the jab.

During a quick question and answer session on social media in December, a follower asked: ‘Will u take the vaccine?’

‘Absolutely not,’ the 22-year-old responded.

The boyfriend of Dua Lipa’s response prompted another follower to ask: ‘Why are you anti vax [crying emoji]’.

‘Either I just don’t get it or I get it and go willing heal from it and get antibodies rather than do that process unaturally, our bodies are made by the creator to do way more than we think,’ he wrote.

He later clarified: ‘I’m not “anti-vax.” I think everyone has to be careful with each vaccine individually looking at positive and possible negative effects.’

Anwar was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, shortly after his mother and sister, Bella, contracted the disease.

COVID-19 indications can appear completely asymptomatic or long-haul, flu-like symptoms, similar to symptoms described by people with Lyme disease.
