The Provost of Niger State College of Education, Prof Mohammed Yakubu-Auna, has charged matriculating students of the school to be security conscious always.

He gave this charge during Saturday’s matriculation ceremony of 3,125 students admitted into the school for the 2022/2023 academic session.

While tasking them to focus on their studies and refrain from acts that could distract them from attaining their goals, Yakubu-Auna congratulated the students for the privilege of being admitted to the college.

He said, “Security issues is the duty of all and sundry and should not be left in the hands of the school security, vigilante and other security agencies alone.

The Registrar of the institution, Alhaji Mohammed Shehu-Aliyu, who administered oaths of allegiance on the students, urged them to be of good conduct ad represent the school for good.

“This is an annual ritual and it is binding on you to adhere strictly to rules and regulations on the oath of allegiance of the collge,” he said.
