Reality TV star, Tochukwu Okechukwu, better known as Tochi, has shared the outrageous message he received from a scammer posing as Peter Obi, Labour Party Presidential candidate.
Taking to his Instastory, Tochi revealed that the fraudster slid into his DM and requested for N2,000 to pursue his court case.
This comes after the real Peter Obi lost the presidential election to APC’s Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, but claimed he won the election and vowed to take legal action against the ruling party to challenge the election result.
The scammer wrote,
“Hello. This is Peter Obi, your proud LP candidate. I lost the election due to rigging . but that’s not a problem. I need you to help we with 2k so I can file for a court case 20******** Kuda”.
Appalled by the message, Tochi lambasted the fraudster for his stupidity and lack of mental wherewithal to come up with a better scamming tactic.
“If a bird has your brain, it will be flying backwards”, he reacted.
This comes months after a scammer posing as the deceased Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II. requested for $300 from him.
In September 2022, the scammer slid into the Direct Message (DM) of the former Big Brother Naija star on Instagram and claimed to be the late queen.
The scammer claimed ‘she’ is not dead and that her son, Charles, abandoned her in a deserted Island so he could ascend her throne. He then asked for $300 as ‘transport fare’ to return back to Buckingham Palace in the UK
The rather amusing message reads,
“Hey, it’s me, Queen Elizabeth, I am not dead. Charles sent me to a deserted island so he could be king. I don’t have access to my royal money so please cash app me $300 so I can get back to the UK.
Tea and biscuits”
Reacting to this, Tochi expressed disdain at the imposter and called him a ‘psychopath’ for taking advantage of the Queen’s death.
