The 21-year-old defender, who can operate at centre-back and left-back enjoyed a breakthrough season at Chelsea, making 32 appearances in all competitions.
He had impressed during loan spells with Huddersfield and Brighton over the previous two seasons but has now proved himself as a valuable member of the Chelsea squad.
Colwill even earned his first England cap thanks to his performances for the Blues, although did not make it into Gareth Southgate’s Euro 2024 squad.
He has done enough to attract the attention of Bayern Munich, who are considering making an offer for him this summer, reports Sky Sports Germany.
Colwill is not first choice for Vincent Kompany’s side, that is Bayer Leverkusen centre-back Jonathan Tah, but in a planned defensive revamp the Bavarian giants could move for both players.
Tah has just one year left on his contract with Leverkusen and if he does not sign a new deal then the Bundesliga champions are likely to cash in on him this summer.
It would be a frustrating loss for Leverkusen, with Tah having been at the club since 2015 and potentially leaving for a rival after finally winning the Bundesliga for the first time.
Chelsea are under no such contractual pressure to sell Colwill, with his contract at Stamford Bridge running until 2029, having signed an epic extension last year.
The Blues are unlikely to be keen on selling the young defender but there will be the temptation of the homegrown player providing pure profit for Profit and Sustainability Rules.
