The Sunday PUNCH has reported that the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission, on August 15th, 2023, dismissed two workers of the Ministry of Finance for financial misappropriation and forgery.

Those sacked were Chief Clerical Officer and Assistant Chief Clerical Officer of the Ministry, Nasiru Sama’ila and Auwal Jibrin, respectively, who allegedly forged the documents of deceased former staff of the Ministry which enabled them to divert the sum of N330,000 belonging to him (deceased) who is their former colleague.

This also came barely two weeks after the Commission sacked one Ibrahim Garba attached to the State Pension Board for a similar offense.
