The Bauchi State Government has approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for civil servants, effective November 2024.

This is as the state government also proposed a N500 billion budget for the 2025 fiscal year to boost development across the state.

The State Head of Civil Service, Yahuza Adamu Ningi, made the announcement during a press briefing after the State Executive Council, SEC, meeting held on Wednesday.

He explained that the decision followed extensive consultations between the government and labour unions.
