AT SWDSF FORUM: KWANKWASO Puts Priority On Education, Security and Infrastructure. Has Different View on Restructuring

The Presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso has revealed  major priorities of his administration if voted in as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. in the 2023 General Elections. .

He revealed the contents of his party’s 152 pages manifesto  that make Security, Education and infrastructure to top the list of priorities.

Kwakwaso was the guest of the Southwest Development Stakeholders Forum  SWDSF in the group’s ongoing interactive sessions with major flag bearers of political parties .in the forthcoming 2023 General elections at Jogor Event Centre Ibadan.

Speaking on his agenda for Security, the former Kano State governor said he would ⁰increase the number of personnel in the Miltary, Police, Civil Defence and other security outfits, with a view to protecting the country. ” if the country is well protected, the menace of Kidnapping, banditry and terrorism would be drastically reduced or totally annihilated”

On Education, Kwankwaso promised, to turn back the over 20 million out of school age children back to school, with about 500, 000 Classrooms to cater for this. He equally promised to expand the due date of Joint Admission to last four years once taken in a particular year. He assured that he will ensure scholarship schemes and make Education free and compulsory for all children of school ages and that strong emphasis would be laid on women development and empowerment.

He promised improvement in infrastructural development with emphasis on Roads and social amenities. He equally promised to explore all the National assets and natural resources for the benefits of all Nigerians

Kwankwaso recognised Restructuring as the main agitation of the people of the South West and admitted that South West is yet to achieve her full potentials, adding that there are still rooms for improvement.

He equally agreed that regions should be allowed to develop at their own space for the benefit of the people.

The candidate however expressed his  reservations for restructuring. He said ” I see restructuring as break-up. Restructuring could not have been an issue if we have pro active leadership that are just and fair enough to address all the National problems.”

” It surprises me at this level that people are still talking of ethnicism and religion. All we need and which voters must ensure is to look at whom they will vote for. Once we vote wrongly, it is then that people will be calling again for restructuring and other agitations. All these fears will fizzle out under good administration” .

Kwankwaso has commended Members of the SWDSF for not being partisan.  ” After due dialogue and consultations, I found out that this forum is not working for any party or any particular Presidential candidate. So, I know there won’t be any bias in your assessment. I found South West to be my second home

Earlier the chairman of the forum, Mr Adedayo Alao emphasized the non partisanship of the organisation and that the forum is not under any financial inducement from any individual or group.
Giving the vote of thanks, the Public Affairs Director of the forum Olalekan Ajia thanked the Presidential candidate for honouring the invitation and assured him that the focus of the forum is not targeted at personality, rather good government for the people of the South West.

The NNPP candidate was accompanied by the vice Presidential candidate, Bishop Isaac Idahosa, the National chairman, the National women’s leader, the oyo state Governorship candidate, Engineer Joshua Olukayode Popoola and his wife, his Lagos state counterpart, a Party chieftain in the state, Mr Olopoeniyan, The Chairman board of trustees, Eng Buba Galadima among many other dignitaries.
