The Gunners have already made big signings this summer in the form of Declan Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber, but they are not done in the transfer market just yet.
CalcioMercato report that Barella is of interest to Arsenal and they are looking to come up with a creative deal for the Italy international after spending significantly this summer already.
The report states that the north London club will offer Balogun and Tomiyasu to Inter in a two-for-one deal, while they may even have to throw in some cash on top of that for the influential midfielder.
Inter are interested in Balogun but have been put off by the £50m price tag Arsenal placed on the striker, while it is not clear whether they are keen on Japan international Tomiyasu or not.
The Serie A side certainly do not want to lose Barella, who has been a key figure for them since joining from Cagliari in 2019.
The 26-year-old scored nine goals and provided 10 assists in 52 appearances across all competitions last season as Inter made it to the Champions League final, where they were narrowly beaten by Manchester City.
Barella is under contract at Inter until 2026 so the club are under no pressure to sell on that front.
However, the club is not in a strong financial position and if Arsenal can come up with a beneficial offer for them, it may be too good to turn down.
