Yobe State Governor, Mai Mala Buni, on Friday, inaugurated the newly constituted APC Council of Elders on Reconciliation to strengthen unity and understanding among members of the party in the state.
The Governor was represented by his Deputy, Idi Barde Gubana, who noted that the council is significant for the party as it would pave way for the party to strengthen internal democracy and foster mutual understanding among members of the APC.
The Council of Elders, according to him is primarily constituted to maintain unity and put the interest of the party above interest of individuals within the party (APC.)
“I have no doubt in the ability of members of the council to discharge their responsibilities diligently”, said Governor Buni.
In his remarks on behalf of the members, the Chairman of the APC Council of Elders on Reconciliation, Hon Hassan K El-Badawy, expressed gratitude to Governor Mai Mala Buni, APC and critical stakeholders for giving them this huge responsibility.
He solicited for the support and prayers of people of the state to deliver on their mandate.
