The All Progressives Congress, APC, appeal committee for the state congress in Jigawa State has said no petition has been sent.
This was stated by the Chairman of the committee, Abdullahi Abubakar, after a stakeholders meeting held at the party’s headquarters in Dutse, the state capital.
He said the committee is in the state to receive and record petitions or complaints with regards to the conduct of the APC congresses.
“We were here after the wards Congress, Local Governments Congress and we are here for the state Congress to listing to any complains from the party loyalists but still no single petition recorded so far,” he stated.
The chairman said Jigawa State is the only state in the country that had recorded zero petitions in all of its congresses.
He, therefore, commended the stakeholders of the party also stated that all hands must be on deck to salvage internal disagreement through deploying existing internal conflict resolution mechanisms for the unity of the party.
“I am always proud of Jigawa state APC stakeholders for demonstration of political maturity, unity of purpose and determination,” he said.
He however urged all the party loyalists to forward any of their complaints or grievances before the committee on the just-concluded State Congress for action.
The chairman said his committee will strive hard to ensure a level playing ground for all party loyalists irrespective of rank or camp.
Abubakar noted that all their complaint will be treated in a manner that will ensure justice and fairness to all.
