Ot was yet another day of glory for Asiwaju Yinka Fasuyi on Saturday 29 April 2023 when he was installed as the new Balogun of the Cathedral of Holy Trinity, Omofe, Ilesa, Osun State.
It
was a day the Cathedral for the first time played host to dignitaries from Ijesaland, the nation and outside the country. It was more or less a re- union for so many old friends.
The official installation was conducted by the Diocesan Bishop, the Rt. Revd Samuel Egbebunmi, in conjunction with other Bishops and Archbishops from other dioceses and archdioceses of the Anglican Communion in the South-West.
In his sermon at the event, Revd Egbebunmi declared that the choice of Asiwaju Fasuyi was based on his high level of integrity, uprightness and love for humanity.
According to him, Asiwaju Fasuyi came from a noble family; his father was also a dedicated leader in the church who left indelible legacies before he slept in the lord.
Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran II (CFR), the Owa Obokun Adimula and paramount ruler of Ijesaland,graced the occasion, extolled Fasuyi’s sterling performance and exemplary leadership qualities since he became the Asiwaju of Ijesaland
