As part of activities to mark Global Entrepreneurship Week, the alumni of Enterprise Development Centre have presented the class-of-the-year and enterprise award to the top-three undergraduate innovations from the entrepreneurship course at the Pan-Atlantic University.
The programme, with the theme, ‘Journeying together, collaborating to win,’ was attended by entrepreneurs and stakeholders from both the public and private sectors.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director of the centre, Nnenna Ugwu, said the celebration was timely and a boost for small and medium-scale enterprise, regarded as the biggest employers of labour and the economic engine of the country.
Ugwu said, “We are excited about this year’s alumni dinner and award ceremony especially as it coincides with our unveiling of EDC’s 20th anniversary. Over the years, we have been committed to building a network of entrepreneurial leaders through continuous learning, process improvement, and business integrity.
“Today we are proud of our story, which is evident through our thriving network of alumni and we use the dinner and award ceremony to celebrate them.”
Also, one of the co-sponsors of the event, Ponpar Megatech, represented by Afees Adepegba and Taiwo Aregbesola, said that the company supported the event as part of its commitment to raising the bar in entrepreneurship skills in Nigeria and beyond.
