A political Analyst, Hon. Benjamin Jato, has frowned at politicians and those holding public offices, for resigning based on ill health, when they are being alleged of misconduct .
Reacting to the Resignation of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad, during a live programme on Advent Cable Network Nigeria Television ACNNTV tagged ” Now Streaming” Hon Jato, argued that public office holders and politicians did not reject appointments, and elections base on ill health, but when they were being accused of corrupt practices they would quickly thrown in the towel based on ill health.
The Chief Justice of Nigeria, CJN, Justice Tanko Muhammad, has resigned based on ill health, as the most senior Supreme Court Judge has been sworn-in, as an acting chief judge.
Hon Jato, alleged that Mr. Tanko, shouldn’t have allowed himself to be implicated with such corruption allegations of a person of his status.
“The CJN, shouldn’t have allowed himself to be implicated in such a huge alleged corruption case, after attaining this height, in fact, it is a disgrace for someone in his position as a CJN, to be implicated in such a scandal. Well, I will still commend him for resigning”.
