Suspected Fulani militias again attacked a village, Shiliam, in Atyap Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State and killed three women.
Newspot recalls that suspected militias had invaded two villages, Kibori and Atak-Njei in Atyap Chiefdom, killing eight persons and injuring others.
A source from the affected village explained that the attackers invaded the community in the evening on Wednesday, killed the three women, and ran away before an alarm could be raised to apprehend them.
According to the source, “For quite a long time, the community has been living under the suspense of the possible attack by the suspected Fulani militias. Neighbouring villages have been attacked with lives lost and properties of unimaginable magnitude have been destroyed living the inhabitants with nothing to eat or sleep on.
“The situation in Atyapland is so sympathetic that many people have been killed, houses burnt down, crops destroyed and foodstuffs destroyed by the attackers in most of the villages they attacked.”
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mohammed Jalige, did not respond to a call to his phone to confirm the incident.
