The Adamawa State Sector Command of the Federal Roads Safety Corps, FRSC, has a new commander.
The new sector commander, Yahaya Sabo Adikwu, has commenced duty with hints on new trends that he intends to implement to ease the task of saving lives and properties of road users.
Yahaya Adikwu, who paid a courtesy call on Governor Ahmadu Fintiri Tuesday as part of his first official activities in the state, said the corps would be building a staff housing estate to improve staff welfare and boost their performance levels.
He presented to the governor a letter from the Corps Marshal of the FRSC requesting land allocation for the housing estate for FRSC staff in the state.
Responding, Governor Fintiri promised to support the FRSC in all its activities in the state.
The new sector commander also visited the Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo Mustapha, who urged the sector commander to ensure that road users obey traffic rules, especially on overloading, to save lives.
