Chukwuemeka Utah, a chieftain of the Labour Party in Abia State, has outlined an agenda for the newly-inaugurated administration led by Governor Alex Otti.

Utah also called on citizens to support the state government in overcoming the challenges hindering the enhancement of critical economic sectors in the state.

Otti succeeds former Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, whose two-term tenure ended on May 29 this year.

During an interview with newsmen in Umuahia, Utah expressed his views and expectations.

He urged Governor Otti to prioritise the provision of basic social infrastructure and an efficient healthcare system to improve the living standards of Abia State residents.

His words: “Good roads and a working health system are very important.

“Let’s not destroy and pull down a government just to score cheap political points at the expense of the greater good,” he said.

Utah continued, “Together we can build the Abia of our dreams. Let’s make Abia work by supporting the Alex Otti-led government.”
