Abia 2023: Ex-minister, Uche Ogah speaks on his emergence as APC guber candidate

The immediate past Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Uche Sampson Ogah, has reacted to his emergence as standard bearer of the All Progressives Congress for the upcoming 2023 governorship election in Abia State.

Newspot had reported on Friday that Ogah scored 141,952 votes to beat his closest rival, Paul Ikonne, who scored 27,054.

Other gubernatorial aspirants include, Chief Ikechi Emenike, who polled 9,446, Emeka Atuma with 7,429, Obinna Oriaku with 5,553, Alex Otti scored 2,41, and Daniel Eke who got 1,953 at the keenly contested direct primaries.

Reacting to his victory at the concluded gubernatorial primaries held across 184 electoral wards of the state which contained in a statement issued to journalists on Friday in Umuahia, Ogah described the outcome of the exercise as true reflection of the will of the people of Abia State.

His words: “It has ended in praise and we return the glory to God almighty for a successful gubernatorial primary election of the All Progressives Congress, here dated May 26, 2022.
