The Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, on Tuesday began the installation of solar street lights in Ayegbami and Akerebiata communities in Ibagun ward of Ilorin East Local Government Area Of the state.
The solar street light poles and their components were presented to the leaders of the two communities by the state House of Assembly member-elect for Ilorin East constituency, Hajia Arinola Lawal.
The House of Assembly member-elect represented by Alhaji Bolaji Are said that the gesture was in continuation of the good work of AbdulRazaq.
She assured them of more dividends of democracy during the second term of office of the governor.
The Special Adviser on Strategy to the state governor, Alhaji Saadu Salahu, on behalf of all political office holders in Ibagun ward thanked the governor and Hajia Lawal for their kind gesture.
Elated members of the community who gathered to receive the street lights later offered special prayers for the governor and members of his administration.
The chairman, Ayegbami community, Alhaji Salihu Alabi, expressed the appreciation of the people in the community to the governor for carrying them along in the scheme of things.
He assured the governor of the continued support of the people for his administration.
