U.S. President Donald Trump has sparked fresh controversy after posting a wave of AI-generated images on his social media platform, Truth Social, portraying himself alongside iconic American presidents, world figures, and military imagery while mocking political opponents.

The posts, shared over two days, reportedly included nearly 30 AI-generated images among the 86 total. Some of the visuals depicted Trump carved into Mount Rushmore beside former presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Another showed a fictional “Trump Peace Award” medal engraved with his face alongside symbols of peace.

One of the most talked-about images showed Trump in golden armor rising dramatically from the sea with fighter jets overhead. At the same time, another compared him to NFL legend Tom Brady using the phrase “GOAT,” meaning “Greatest of All Time.”

The AI posting spree also included direct attacks on rivals. Trump shared an image mocking former President Barack Obama by depicting the Obama Presidential Library as a giant trash bin filled with garbage bags. The post came shortly after Juneteenth celebrations marking the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States.

Another AI-generated image portrayed Trump in a New York Knicks basketball uniform dunking over New York Governor Kathy Hochul, reflecting their ongoing political clashes over legal battles and state transportation policies.

Trump also posted visuals linked to some of his controversial policy ideas, including a giant image of his face towering above a Greenland village and a futuristic “Golden Dome” missile defense system protecting the White House.

According to reports cited in the article, Trump’s use of AI-generated visuals has accelerated sharply this year. Analysts say the strategy reflects an evolution from the “meme wars” associated with his first presidency into a more aggressive AI-powered propaganda ecosystem.

The article referenced the emerging term “slopaganda”—a combination of “AI slop” and “propaganda”—used to describe low-quality, emotionally manipulative AI-generated political content designed to shape public opinion regardless of its factual accuracy.

Critics warn that the growing use of AI-generated political imagery could further blur the line between satire, propaganda, and misinformation, especially as artificial intelligence tools become more advanced and accessible ahead of future elections.
