President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Kigali, Rwanda, to attend the 13th edition of the Africa CEO Forum, which opens on Thursday.
The President was received at the Presidential Wing of the Kigali International Airport by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu, and Rwanda’s Minister of Defence, Juvenal Marizamunda.
Also present to receive him were the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr Jumoke Oduwole, the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, the Nigerian Chargé d’Affaires in Rwanda, Ambassador Ibrahim Zanna, and the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Dare.
The Africa CEO Forum, founded in 2012 by Jeune Afrique Media and co-hosted by the International Finance Corporation, has grown into one of the continent’s most important annual gatherings of private sector leaders, investors, policymakers and development partners.
This year’s forum is themed “The Scale Imperative: Why Africa Must Embrace Shared Ownership.”
At the summit, President Tinubu is expected to speak on “Holding the Line: Nigeria’s Reform Bet in a Fractured World,” where he will highlight the gains of sustaining Nigeria’s current economic reforms and the broader case for policy consistency in a difficult global environment.
The President is also scheduled to hold high-level bilateral meetings with leading African and global business figures.
According to the State House, Tinubu will use the forum to reaffirm Nigeria’s commitment to African unity, regional economic cooperation and strategic partnerships that can accelerate private sector-driven sustainable development across the continent.
His participation also comes as Nigeria continues to position itself as a major voice in continental economic integration, investment expansion and reforms aimed at strengthening Africa’s long-term competitiveness.
