Images and video clips showing Donald Trump alongside late financier Jeffrey Epstein were projected onto a hotel in Washington, D.C. ahead of the annual White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, drawing renewed attention to past associations between the two men.
The projection reportedly appeared on the exterior of the Washington Hilton, the venue hosting this year’s dinner. A video shared online showed a montage of photos and clips featuring Trump and Epstein, along with images of heavily redacted documents tied to federal investigations into Epstein.
According to reports, the footage ended with a message calling for the release of unredacted files related to the case. The identity of those responsible for the projection remains unclear as of the time of reporting.
The development comes as Trump prepares to attend the White House Correspondents’ dinner for the first time as sitting president, after previously boycotting the event during his earlier time in office. His attendance has already drawn heightened media attention, given his long-standing tensions with the press.
Epstein, who was facing federal sex trafficking charges, died in custody in 2019 while awaiting trial. Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing or involvement in Epstein’s criminal activities, despite acknowledging that the two moved in similar social circles years ago before falling out.
The renewed spotlight also follows ongoing scrutiny of the U.S. Department of Justice’s handling and release of Epstein-related documents. A recent internal review was announced to examine how materials were collected, redacted, and disclosed to the public.
The White House Correspondents’ Association, which organizes the annual dinner, has maintained that the event is centered on celebrating press freedom and supporting journalism through scholarships and awards.
Neither the White House nor the hotel venue immediately commented on the projection incident.
