Ringim, in a resignation letter dated March 30, 2026, and addressed to the chairman of the NNPP in Ringim Ward, Ringim Local Government Area, said his decision takes immediate effect.

He explained that the move followed careful reflection and consultation, though he did not state his next political destination.

He further wished the NNPP success in its future endeavours.

The resignation adds to a growing list of political realignments in Jigawa State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Although he did not indicate his next move, findings revealed that he is set to join his political mentor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who recently joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
