Addressing journalists in Abuja on Monday, Comrade Adams Abonu, Convener of the PDP Aspirants Forum, urged party members to unite under the new leadership of the party.

“We observe the cooperation shown by various leaders of the party towards ensuring that the convention is held without much ado.

“While thanking stakeholders and members of our party across the federation, we have to particularly appreciate the leadership acumen of Ezenwo Nyeson Wike, Honorable Minister of the Federal Capital and national leader of PDP.

“Our leader has shown that he has the wherewithal to rally our party together and forge a path towards revival.

“We also declare that where Wike leads, we follow,” Abonu, stated.

He urged those who might still harbour misgivings to join Wike so as to salvage the declining fortunes of the party.

“With this convention successfully held and recognized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), we now have a viable platform to aspire to represent the interests of our people across Nigeria,” Abonu said.
