The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim faithful across the state and Nigeria at large on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a goodwill message released by the Media Unit, Government House, the governor congratulated Muslims for successfully completing the period of fasting, prayer, and spiritual reflection, describing it as a demonstration of discipline, faith, and devotion.
Governor Eno emphasized that the values embodied during Ramadan—love, peace, unity, and tolerance—should not end with the celebration but continue to shape society and guide collective national progress.
“May love, peace, unity and tolerance continue to define our collective purpose,” the governor stated.
He further called on citizens of Akwa Ibom State, regardless of religious affiliation, to embrace peaceful coexistence and mutual respect, noting that sustainable development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and stability.
The governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusive governance, stressing that his leadership will continue to prioritize policies and initiatives that promote harmony, social cohesion, and shared prosperity across all communities in the state.
Eid al-Fitr, one of the most significant celebrations in Islam, marks the conclusion of Ramadan and is observed globally with prayers, charity, and communal festivities.
Governor Eno wished all Muslim faithful a joyful and peaceful celebration, urging them to uphold the virtues of compassion and generosity in their daily lives.
