The former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (8th Assembly) and a leading aspirant for the Osun Central Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Lasun Yusuf has extended warm congratulations to the Muslim Ummah on the successful completion of the 1447 AH Ramadan fast and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement personally signed and made available to journalists in Osogbo, Rt. Hon. Yusuf eulogised the resilience, discipline, and spiritual devotion demonstrated by Muslim faithful throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

He urged the people of Osun State to use the occasion of Eid prayers to seek divine guidance and intervention for the state under the leadership of Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke. He called for sustained prayers for peace, unity, and progress while also seeking divine protection against forces working to return the state to its inglorious past.

He further emphasized the need for continued support, prayers, and collective responsibility towards the success of the current administration, which he described as having delivered commendable performance despite prevailing challenges, including the ongoing seizure of local government funds by the federal government.
