Bishop Oluwagbemiro Fabuluje of Oke-Osun Diocese, Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), described reaching 80 as a testament to spiritual strength and divine favour. “God has raised you to what you are today,” he told the celebrant during the Holy Communion service. “To attain 80 is only possible by His grace. He has guided and preserved you through life’s turbulence.”

The Bishop reminded Mama Okeremi that birthdays are more than a measure of years-they are a celebration of God’s faithfulness, mercy, and grace. “Count your blessings one by one,” he said. “Your joy today is not temporary; it will last into eternity.”

“O God, my Creator, my heart is full of grace and thanksgiving for Your mercies. I thank You for my life, my children, my family, my friends, and all who surround me. Strengthen my faith and grant me health, that I may continue to honour and serve You, and ultimately enter Your eternal Kingdom through Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour. Amen.”
