Amaogwu Bend, Abia State —Chairman of the E.C.K. Foundation, Chief Dr. Emeka Charles Kalu, has returned to Nigeria in what supporters described as a symbolic and strategic homecoming, formally signaling his intention to contest the Abia North Senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections.
The reception, held in Amaogwu Bend—his hometown—drew a large crowd of supporters, community leaders, and youth groups who welcomed him with traditional dances, chants, and songs. The atmosphere reflected growing grassroots enthusiasm as Chief Kalu prepares to commence full political engagement ahead of the polls.
Addressing supporters, Chief Kalu reiterated his long-standing commitment to quality representation, transparent leadership, and people-focused legislation for Abia North. He emphasized that his senatorial ambition is rooted in restoring effective representation to the zone and ensuring that governance delivers tangible benefits to everyday citizens.
Chief Kalu is widely known for his philanthropic work through the E.C.K.
