The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has commenced the collation of ward results for the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, Chairmanship election conducted on Saturday.
Addressing the party agents and observers, the AMAC Area Council Collection Officer, Prof Andrew Abue, advised party agents and accredited observers on peaceful conduct.
Abue said that in every election someone must win.
Newspot reports that AMAC has 12 wards with 1,401 Polling Units (PUs) and 1, 680, 315 registered voters out of which 795,081 collected their Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs.
A total of 16 registered political parties contested the area council chairmanship election.
For the Orozo Ward: The Ward Collation Officer, Mr Ahmed Mohammed, announced the total registered voters as 40,313 while the total numbers of accredited voters was 5,058.
